Where it all began

Narex was founded back in 1919, in the town of Bystřice pod Hostýnem, right in the heart of the Czech Republic. What started as a local toolmaker grew into an internationally recognised name over the course of 100+ years. Yet the mission has remained the same: to make robust, well-designed hand tools for woodworkers of all levels.

Narex handles all production in-house, in their own Czech factory. That means complete control over quality, finish, and durability — from start to finish. Today, the brand blends its rich heritage with cutting-edge techniques. Think carefully selected steels, cryogenic treatments, and hands-on finishing that give their tools exceptional sharpness, balance, and longevity.

The Richter series is your go-to, made from cryogenically hardened Cr-V steel with a rock-solid hardness of 62 HRC and ultra-thin side bevels for working in tight spaces.
