The **Marttiini Deluxe Classic** is a traditional Finnish Puukko. These knives were used in Scandinavia as all-rounders. It's suitable for everyday cutting tasks. For example, when hunting or fishing, but even for food preparation or in the home, these knives are very suitable. 

The inspiration for this knife was therefore drawn from the almost 100 years of history and experience in knife making that the Finnish brand Marttiini acquired over the years. The knife features a scandi grind. The scandi grind, as the name suggests, originates from Scandinavia. The scandi grind has been the standard for ages when it comes to outdoor knives, hunting knives and bushcraft knives. In fact, a large v-shaped edge, without any further frills. A scandi grind is easy to manufacture and easy to sharpen at home. A scandi grind is great for wood work. Because the blade is relatively thick, it is very strong and can handle quite a lot.

## Birch wood handle

In Scandinavia, the traditional puukko knives also featured handles made from birch wood. This deluxe version of the Marttiini Condor Classic has a birch-wood handle as a tribute to centuries-old tradition.

## Stainless steel blade

The blade is made of stainless 1.4034 / X46Cr13 steel. This is a type of steel that retains its sharpness well and offers good corrosion resistance. It has a hardness of 53.5 to 55 HRC. 

## Leather sheath

The Marttiini Condor Gut Hook comes with a leather sheath. The sheath is black and has a distinct shape. Marttiini's logo has been lasered onto the sheath. The sheath has a leather loop that allows you to attach it to a belt, for example.



The blade of the Marttiini Deluxe Classic 167015 Stainless, Curly Birch, bushcraft knife measures 10.5 cm in length and 2.8 mm in thickness. The total length is 22.3 cm.

This knife has a scandi grind. As the name somewhat suggests, this method of sharpening originated in Scandinavia.
