Petromax Care and Seasoning Conditioner for cast-iron

This is an excellent product for initial seasoning and ongoing care of cast iron cookware. It has a soft, oily consistency (similar to coconut oil at room temperature) and is easy to apply with a paper towel. A small amount does the job, should last quite a while. The mixture is food-safe and reaches its smoke point in a standard oven without excessive smoking. After three rounds of seasoning (plus the factory layer), my skillet passed the fried egg test perfectly. Highly recommended - does exactly what it promises and is reasonably priced.
