The holder for sharpening stones is solid and stable, it is rubbery but quite elastic and has a lot of good grip. The whole thing is very impressive when working with it.

Heavy and sturdy, this is a premium product that's perfect for hobbyists. A must to go with the Shapton pond. Totally solved any issues I was having around keeping the stone in place while sharpening. Very happy!
