At first glance, the Northern Lights series seems to match the F1, S1, A1, A2 and Modern Bowie. The blade lengths are close enough. However, the NL knives are much lighter, nimbler and more flexible knives, not designed as survival tools, but as allrounders. Fit and finish are excellent, the material quality first rate. I love handling this knife, cutting pretty much anything is a joy. The thinner blade is much easier to use, than the A1, the knife feels much smaller, in that sense. Is the price justified? Knives and Tools do their best to make them affordable (greatly appreciated!), but Fällkniven’s pricing only leaves so much room. For me it was worth the money, both as a tool and as an addition to my collection. And yet: you could get two Lionsteel knives or three to four Helle for the same amount. You decide…

Beautifully crafted knife. The leather handle is excellent although more suited with those for smaller grip. Those needing a larger handle might struggle with it. Blade is superb and razor sharp. The first one I received had a nick in the blade, however Knives and Tools send me a postage return label and sent a new one as soon as they received original. Good customer service and communication. I'd buy from them again.
