The **Gränsfors Bruk Wildlife Hatchet 415, trekking axe** is a traditional axe for bushcraft, scouting and camping. It has the same axe head as the Gränsfors Bruk Hand Hatchet, but with a longer handle. This longer handle gives the axe more strength, making splitting firewood or removing branches from logs even easier. 

Despite the longer handle, this axe is still practical to carry in your backpack. Ideal if you need a small axe that still requires a lot of force. The axe comes with a high-quality leather sheath that prevents the axe head from cutting into your backpack.




Gränsfors axes are hand-forged by talented craftsmen. Production relies heavily on the craftsmanship and experience of these blacksmiths. What is unique about Gränsfors axes, is that each smith stamps their own initials into the axe head. This allows you to see who made your specific axe. 

In terms of steel, Gränsfors exclusively uses recycled steel from Ovako. This is a type of carbon steel, which means it is tough and hard enough for use as an axe head. At the same time, it means that the axe head is not corrosion resistant, so make sure to clean it after use and apply a coat of oil from time to time.



The handle of this axe is made of American hickory wood, a very strong wood that is particularly suitable for absorbing blows. This makes it an ideal material for handles of axe and hammers.

Pas trop lourd et pas trop léger, très agile, tranchant rasoir, le manche est parfait, très ergonomique.
Bien équilibrée et de construction robuste, cette hachette est presque parfaite.

J'ai mis 4 étoiles parce que je trouve le prix un peu élevé malgré tout... Mais bon le prix s'oublie, la qualité reste à vie.

Good quality axe of course, received with a little scratch on the handle but nothing really bad. Use for bagpaking and carving, the light weight and efficienty are great so i am happy of my purchase . I already own the scandinavian forest axe and i think is the perfect combinaison for my use. Ótimo Machado que corresponde totalmente à expectativa. 

Hachette avec une excellente prise en main et un équilibre parfait. 
Juste un peu déçu par la finition du tranchant qui est rasoir mais pas uniforme. Un peu déçu par la finition du manche aussi. Compte tenu du tarif.
Toutefois, son utilisation fait vite oublier les petits défauts.
