The **LionSteel B41** is a wonderful bushcraft knife, designed by Molletta. LionSteel produces phenomenal fixed knives with an amazing price-quality ratio. The B41 collection is no exception. You could consider the B41 to be an alternative for the B40, of which some believed the handle was too angular. As such the ergonomics of the B41 are improved but all in all it is still very similar to the B40.



The LionSteel B41 is enhanced with a full-tang construction. This means that the tang follows the entire shape of the handle. This also transfers the entire blade thickness to the tang. LionSteel subtly rounded the tang and the spine of the blade to make sure there are no sharp edges or corners where you don't want them. Striking is that the handle is not held together with screws. As a result you can easily take the B41 apart to properly clean the knife after a weekend in the woods. LionSteel offers a wide range of at least five different versions with different handle materials. As such there is something for everyone!



This European knife is made from an European type of steel, Sleipner steel. This Austrian type of tool steel retains its sharpness well. Tests carried out by LionSteel show that Sleipner retains its sharpness just like M390, but it is a lot tougher. Do, however, pay attention to the following: Sleipner steel is not completely stainless. So make sure you properly dry the knife after use. The blade has a stonewashed finish that doesn't only look great, it also masks any traces of use.



An ingenious detail is the angular back of the handle. This edge is sharp enough to effectively create sparks with a firesteel. You can also use this part to create tinder. Great when you want to light your fire! This detail clearly demonstrates that LionSteel is an expert when it comes to bushcraft knives and definitely knows what they are talking about. The B41 comes with a solid leather sheath to make sure you can carry this stunning bushcraft knife on your belt. The maximum belt width for this sheath is 4.0 cm.

Coltello robusto, ben bilanciato, per i miei gusti di taglia perfetta in una situazione Bushcraft! Affilatura impeccabile! 

Unico Appunto: il fodero non riusciva a chiudersi con il bottone, dopo aver sentito l’assistenza di Knivesandtools mi hanno consigliato di dare del grasso o dell’olio al fiserò per ammorbidirlo e conseguentemente tirandolo leggermente la pelle si sarebbe leggermente allungata…  così è stato!

Il fodero ora si chiude correttamente ! La pelle ha assunto un colore più scuro per via dell’olio (ho usato ballistoil) ma questo non mi crea problematiche.


Tolles Messer, obwohl mir eine etwas schlankere Klingengeometrie noch besser gefallen würde!
Stabil und schneidfreudig!
Einzige Minuspunkte:
.)Die Lederscheide war extrem ausgetrocknet und musste einige Male mit Lederfett/-öl behandelt werden; wirkte schon richtig brüchig.
.)Der Verschlussriemen war extrem kurz bemesse, der Druckknopf ließ sich selbst unter großem Kraftaufwand nicht schließen; musste aufgedehnt werden.
Jetzt passt alles, nun bin sehr zufrieden!

Ergonomique et très bien fini, c'est un vrai plaisir de l'utiliser en bivouac, pour lequel je trouve il se révèle bien pensé, polyvalent, maniable et sûr. Le tranchant, rasoir en sortie de boîte, s'est avéré plus durable que je ne le pensais et d'un affûtage assez  facile. Je suis très satisfait de mon achat et remercie K&T pour sa livraison rapide.

Excellent couteau de bushcraft que ce LionSteel B41 !
Vraiment fonctionnel de part sa taille et la forme de sa lame.
Les finitions sont irréprochables (c'est du LionSteel 😉) et l'étui en cuir est magnifique.
C'est un plaisir d'utiliser ce beau couteau.
