Hultafors axes become Hults Bruk: a new name, the same trusted quality

The Swedish axes from Hultafors are getting a clearer identity. The premium axes many users know as Hultafors Premium will now be presented under the name Hults Bruk. The axe heads have always carried the Hults Bruk logo, and now the handle will also feature the Hults Bruk brand name. This change places the focus on where these axes are made: the historic Hults Bruk forge in Sweden.

That said, this transition does not mean the entire range has been redesigned. Most of the collection is simply receiving a new name and updated branding. The foundation remains the same: Swedish steel, hickory wooden handles and axes built for serious use.

Hultafors Premium becomes Hults Bruk

The current Hultafors Premium range will continue under the Hults Bruk name. In most cases, only the branding and model names are changing. The axes will still be forged in Sweden but will have a more distinctive Hults Bruk identity, including HB branding on the handle and model names inspired by Swedish history, nature and the surroundings of the forge.

The premium range will continue with familiar names such as the Hults Bruk Dvardala, alongside other models including the Åby, Hultån, Ekelund, Qvarfot, Stålberg and Wetterhall.

In short: these aren’t completely different axes, but existing premium models that are being positioned more clearly under the Hults Bruk brand.

Agdor models, now in a premium Hults Bruk edition

Alongside the premium range, five models from the well-known Hultafors Agdor series are also being upgraded and released under the Hults Bruk name:

Bråbo, Rådga, Getå, Sätra and Pjältån.

So these aren’t entirely new designs either, but more premium versions of existing Hultafors Agdor felling axes. They feature a brut de forge finish, are sharply ground and come with a leather sheath. This gives them a look and finish that blend seamlessly with the renewed Hults Bruk range.

A good example is the Sätra and Pjältån. Both are based on the Hultafors Trekking Axe H 006 SV, but are produced in a luxury version as Hults Bruk models.

Why the change?

Hultafors has long been recognised as a broad tool brand for professionals. Hults Bruk, on the other hand, is the name of the Swedish axe forge itself. By presenting the axes under the Hults Bruk name, it becomes clearer where these products come from and what makes them special: traditional Swedish craftsmanship, forged for years of reliable use.

For users, this mainly means that the axes are now brought together under one dedicated axe brand. The emphasis is placed more firmly on quality, origin and intended use, while the Hults Bruk name reflects the craftsmanship behind every axe.
