Real Steel Stella: a lightweight and razor-sharp pocket knife
The Real Steel Stella is a slipjoint pocket knife, designed by Jakub Wieczorkiewicz from Poltergeist Works. It is lightweight, razor-sharp, and legal to carry in many countries. Because the knife has to be opened with two hands and does not have a full lock, it is legal to carry in many places. The slipjoint mechanism, while not a true lock, does provide enough resistance to avoid accidental shutting of the blade for safe use.
Features of the Real Steel Stella
Besides the standard Stella models, we also sell Knivesandtools Exclusive versions. The exclusive versions, such as the Stella Black Canvas Micarta and Stella Green Canvas Micarta, are limited editions.
Knivesandtools Exclusive
Knivesandtools Exclusives are specially designed in collaboration with the manufacturer and are available in very limited editions. Every once in a while we see a cool knife, but think it could be made even greater with a few tweaks. Hence, the Knivesandtools Exclusives! These exclusive models, like the Stella Micarta, are true collector's items. Be quick! These knives are only available while stocks last.
What makes these exclusive Stella models special are the handles made of micarta. This is a composite material made from linen and synthetic resin, which provides excellent grip in both dry and wet circumstances. In addition, it is lightweight and develops a beautiful patina over time, giving the knife even more character.
Blade and handle
The blade of the Stella is made from top-quality steels like Böhler M390 steel or S35VN. These materials offer excellent sharpness retention, corrosion resistance and are easy to sharpen, making them perfect for everyday use.
The handles are made from cool materials like micarta, titanium or G10. These materials combine lightweight properties with a firm grip. Micarta, in particular, is known for its comfortable texture and the patina it forms after use.
Blade shape
The Real Steel Stella has a subtle sheepsfoot blade. This blade shape, with a straight edge and a sloping tip, offers great control when doing precision work. The knife is ergonomically designed, with recesses around the hinge screw that provide extra grip. For precision tasks, it's also nice to hold the handle between your thumb and middle finger, with your index finger on the spine of the blade.
