You have to give Morakniv credit: for a small amount of money, you get well thought-out solutions. The tabs on the back lock into the cut-outs in the sheath of the Kansbol or Garberg, so the whole thing sits securely in place. The firesteel is also held rock-solid, yet it can still be released easily with a sideways twist. Even the cord is highly reflective. What I don’t like is the diamond sharpener mounted on the side. Those things remove steel so aggressively that you only need them if you have completely neglected the knife until it is blunt. They are not suitable for maintaining the edge or for daily touch-ups. Still, all in all: a lot of usefulness for not much money.
