The **Ontario High Peaks Knife ADK 8177** is a hunting knife that was produced in the United States. Named after the 46 High Peaks from the Adirondacks. A mountain range in the north of the state New York. Where Ontario Knife Co. is also located.

The pointed blade is a combination of a skinner and a so-called 'caper'. Because of the large 'finger guard' you won't slip and end up on the edge. In the basis this a hunting knife. But you can also use it for different tasks while you go camping. To build shelter, start a fire, cut tent pegs from a piece of wood or to gut game. To make sure the blade stays sharp even after these tasks it is made from 420HC steel. This is a stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well. 420HC is also relatively tough. As such you can also use this knife for the more demanding tasks. 420HC is easy to sharpen in the field. All you need is a simple pocket sharpening stone.

The handle is made from a great material: micarta. In this case it looks like a type of 'rag micarta'. With different colours making it almost look like a type of root wood. The end of the handle contains a large lanyard eye with enough room for a wrist strap. As such you won't lose it in the dark or during the more demanding tasks.

The Ontario High Peaks ADK comes with a leather sheath. An American knife for a great price. Ready to help you out during any adventure.
