## Handle and blade

The stainless steel blade's surface features an intriguing partially-hammered finish. Originally, these dents were the result of the blacksmith's hammer. In Japan, this finish is known as Tsuchime. This finish isn't just there for looks, it also prevents food from sticking to the blade. The handle is made from coloured G10. This is a very sturdy plastic that is resistant to moisture, heat and falls.

## How to maintain your Eden Elements kitchen knives

Always wash your Eden Elements knives by hand. When you put these knives in the dishwasher, water can stay behind in the little dimples of the blade. This makes the steel more likely to rust. In addition, detergent can also affect the handles of these knives, causing them to become dull over time. Keep your knives looking great and wash them by hand!

Leuke aanvulling op andere messen, alleen niet zo scherp...Na slijpen en stroppen is er geenprobleem en even scherp als andere reeksen uit dit gamma. Ik vind het alleen beetje spijtig vanwege de brede rug, waardoor het zeer stevig is, maar voor deze grote misschien voor mij iets minder praktisch

Mooi mesje. Staat mooi naast de andere messen. Hij is alleen wel iets minder scherp dan de santoku uit dezelfde serie.

Wie zoekt naar een robuuste alles-kunner, maar nog geen "groot mes ervaring " heeft, kan dit een opstapje vinden tot een echt scherp chefsmes of santoku. Leuk : zwaartepunt ligt binnen het handvat, dwz als het mes op tafel ligt, raakt het lemmet het werkvlak niet aan, weinig geknoei dus. Prachtig object, maar niet geschikt voor fijn-motorisch getrainde vingers. Japanse look, maar niet de finesse ( en ook niet de fabrieksscherpte). Desondanks is prijs-kwaliteit fantastisch. Dit was een poging om mijn messenarsenaal ( chefs 20-26cm, santoku 19 cm , nakiri 16 cm) aan te vullen, maar misschien heb ik gewoon geen officemes nodig. Denk ik.
