The Opinel pocket knife is a renowned, yet really affordable pocket knife, ideal for everyday use. It is available in a variety of sizes ranging from small to fairly large.  
  


The larger models feature the simple yet effective Virobloc safety twistlock mechanism, which allows the blade to be locked in both the open and the closed positions. This pocket knife is a classic in the true sense of the word.  
  


The blade of this knife is made of carbon steel. It is very easy to sharpen and hone to a thin edge, making it razor sharp, yet very strong. Carbon steel is more susceptible to rust than stainless steel and therefore needs to be cleaned properly and kept dry. If you prefer an Opinel knife with a rust-resistant blade, you can use the knives with stainless steel.

Als keukenmes wellicht iets aan de kleine kant, maar wel een fijne -kleine- Opinel om erbij te hebben.

Ik heb er een koordje aan gemaakt. 

Opinel makes an excellent affordable knife. The number 6 in carbon steel is the perfect size for a pocket and the smallest model with the twist ring locking mechanism. Shipment was fast and everything went well. Thanks!

Que du bonheur pour ce N. 6 en acier carbone, très bien comme petit couteau de ville.
Avec sa lame de 7cm, c'est suffisant pour ouvrir des colis, bricoler ou pour éplucher une pomme. 
Perso, le teinte la lame carbone dans du vinaigre et je teinte aussi la virole et le manche en bois, histoire de personnaliser le couteau. 
Résultat, c'est que du bonheur, je recommande vivement.
