Great product at a sensible price. Chose this as I wanted options when maintaining a sharp edge away from my usual methods at home. A little bit larger than I expected, but stays in my pack until needed. Not at all heavy so no burden. Immediately and easily sharpens to a great edge.

It has helped me to put a decent edge on every blade I own. I can'r recommend this bit of kit enough. I have one in the kitchen drawer and I'm just about to buy another 2, 1 for the van and 1 for the man cave.

I lent my camping knife to my godson. I assume he used it as a hammer given the state of the blade when he returned it. I thought it would take an hour to get it back in shape. I started to sharpen it with the Field Sharpen and in less than a minute I had chopped off the tip of my thumb. Awesome.

This is a small, well designed sharpener. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and on-line videos demonstrating technique are easy to find. The diamond plates ( coarse and fine) are detachable, enabling use on awkward shaped items. The coarse plate should be used cautiously as it is an aggressive abrasive. Very sharp edges are produced quickly, and the angle guides are useful to train muscle memory. Highly recommended.
