How do I choose the best gear retractor?
Before choosing a gear retractor, it is important to know how much your gear weighs. In fact, retractors have a maximum tractive force. Make sure to check the maximum tractive force in the product specifications.
Choose the appropriate attachment method
Think about how you want to attach the retractor. Some retractors, such as the Gear Keeper MOLLE retractor, are specifically designed to attach to MOLLE systems, perfect for tactical gear. Other models have a belt clip or screw pin. Choose an attachment method that suits your wearing style and equipment.
Note the length of the cord
The length of the cord determines how far you can use your gear without detaching the retractor. Most retractors have a cord of about 80 cm, which is sufficient for most applications. Using a gear retractor
